Miley Cyrus is known for starring as Miley Stewart/"Hannah Montana" in the television series Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel.

Following the success of the show, in October 2006, a soundtrack CD was released in which she sang eight songs from the show.

Cyrus's solo music career began with the release of her debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus on June 23, 2007.

Her sophomore album, entitled Breakout was released on July 22, 2008, which is Cyrus's first album that does not involve the Hannah Montana franchise.

In the September 2008 issue of Seventeen magazine, Cyrus stated she was in a relationship with Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers for 2 years, and that the two "were in love".

Cyrus became a spokesperson for Daisy Rock Guitars in 2004, when she was presented with her first Daisy Rock guitar - the Stardust Series Acoustic Electric Pink Sparkle.

In April 2008, Miley Cyrus announced plans to write a book about her life and career.
