Celine Dion was the 14th child of a musically talented family born March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. A singer in her parents bar as a child of five, Celine worked hard to hone her voice skills as she matured and acquired the strong and forceful voice that has propelled her to pop music stardom.

Her big break into the music industry business came through Rene Angelil, her manager who recognized her rare talent and subsequently mortgaged his home to bring her first album on the music scene.

Her hits began to pile as she worked Canadian and European audiences with hits like "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and the theme song to the film "Beauty and the Beast" (duet with Peabo Bryson). That performance landed Dion both a Grammy and an Oscar.

Celine Dion also picked up the "Album of the Year" with her "Falling Into You" album which was her first #1 album.

Dion may best be remembered for her rendition of "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic" that also became an Oscar winner for Best Original Song.

Celine Dion exchanged wedding vows with her manager in 1994 (who soon contracted cancer) and gave birth to their first child seven years later.

Celine Dion continued to amaze concert goers and music buyers with additional hit songs and eventually released her "greatest hits" album called "All the Way – A Decade of Song" that went to #1 in 1999.

Celine Dion has slowed down slightly (semi retired) but still sings in concert and enthralls audiences with her passionate renditions.
